Full Groom is our most popular service. It includes a health check followed by a bath using specialist dog shampoos to suit your dog's skin and coat type. We are very careful around the dog's face and only use a tearless shampoo. We also have hypo allergenic shampoo for dogs with sensitive skin so that your dog is comfortable with the experience. Your dog is then dried using a selection of dryers where the power level can be adjusted and lowered for the nervous dog. Your dogs' ears are then cleaned and plucked if necessary and nails are clipped. Your dog is then groomed or clipped to your specification. Dogs can have anything from a gentle tidy up to a full make over or show preparation. All breeds and cross breeds are welcome.

Hand Stripping is a technique used on wired haired breeds where the outer guard coat is plucked from the dog's skin. This procedure helps to promote the correct coat texture and enhances the rich natural colours found in the breeds. During certain times of the year the coat is easier to pull out and when the coat comes out easily it is called blown coat. We do not hand strip a dog if it has been previously cut with electric clippers or scissors and we don't bath the dog until 4 days after stripping so please make an extra appointment if you would like your dog to come back for a bath. Hand stripping can be a very time consuming and tiring process but the end results are well worth the extra effort. More than one sitting may be necessary to prevent fatigue for both groomer and dog.

The Puppy Socialisation Groom is designed for puppies up to six months of age that have never been to a grooming salon before. This first time visit can stop potential problems arising when your dog comes to be groomed in the future as we do all we can to help the puppy relax in its surroundings. Your puppy will recognise where it is when you leave it in the future to be groomed properly and will already be familiar with noises of the salon.
